Wear control of drum couplings is often a problem since due to the situation at site
(dirt, missing daylight, limited space) the small wear notches of drum couplings are difficult to read. MALMEDIE has solved this problem now in two ways:


A gearbox mounted standard proximity switch senses the coupling mounted indicator pin which comes out upon wear of the drum coupling and feeds the signal into the crane PLC.

Improved readability due to milled recess in the coupling hub, wear is by the boltet pointer even "palpable"...
